A progression from single-handed fundamentals to the pace and precision of maxi racing.
2020 — 2025 / Dinghy
I started sailing ILCA at 14. The class gave me a strong foundation in boat handling, speed, sail and foil dynamics, and the racing rules. Competing in close fleets taught me to stay engaged and keep improving, even when limited event opportunities made big-fleet experience harder to build.
2022 — 2025 / Dufour 34
My first real introduction to yacht racing. For three years I raced as bowman on this seven-person Dufour 34 crew, completing around 20–22 events. Hoists, drops, mark roundings and kite packing became my responsibilities, alongside a growing understanding of trim and rig setup. All of it on a limited budget: we were regional champions and consistently competitive at that level.

Spanish Yacht Nationals · 2024 & 2025
5th & 7th
Six boats per group in short, intense races. The wind was light and unstable in both events—strategically unforgiving, and I was glad not to be making the calls. We reached the Gold Group on both occasions but could not move past 5th. It was my first look at the level of the best sailors in Spain, several of whom I later met again at the Copa del Rey.

Racing aboard Wanderlust, an Italia 998, sharpened my understanding of risk, communication and decision-making in a large competitive fleet. I was proud of my consistency during hoists and drops, and left even more motivated to race at this level.

My first superyacht regatta, racing aboard the 109 ft Vitters sloop Inoui in the waters of Ibiza and Formentera. A step up in scale, pace and precision—and a taste of the level I want to keep racing at.
